Curious about our American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum? Come and try our L’Academie classes on Tuesdays & Thursdays. In August our senior students will appear on the Chapin Rainbow Stage at Heckscher Park as part of the LI Dance Consortium.

The Suzuki music program is a unique way to learn the violin or cello starting at age 2 1/2. We are offering group classes as well as private for all levels of proficiency.

Young Children can try all of the performing arts in our Young Artists program.

Suzuki Music School Spring Festival June 10 at Old First Church in Huntington

Performances by all of our violin students, Suzuki Violin Ensemble, select piano students & Suzuki faculty is a highlight of our school calendar.

American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum Exams to take place May 6

Huntington Center’s L’Academie Ballet School students are preparing to take examinations at the Center May 6. One of the directors of ABT’s Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School of Ballet will travel to Huntington for the 3rd year to conduct examinations for levels 1-3. The program is exclusively offered by L’Academie in Suffolk County and was the first school on Long Island to offer the program. The ABT National Training Curriculum offered by L’Academie, is taught by ABT certified teachers, many of whom have completed their education (MA) through a joint program between NYU & ABT, stresses a healthy approach to ballet study beginning as young as age 5.

A special event is planned at the Center located at 310 New York Ave. for Saturday March 31 at 5pm & 7pm (2 seatings) entitled from “Classes to Classics” a concert of international music & dance. The event is sponsored in part by a grant from NY State Cultural Affairs administered by Huntington Arts Council and is produced by Long Island Ballet Theatre.
