The Suzuki Method was created over six decades ago by Japanese violin teacher, Dr.Shinichi Suzuki. Suzuki applied the principles of learning a language to learning music, and made careful listening, repetition, teaching a little at a time, and positive reinforcement the cornerstones of his lesson plans.
To date, more than 25,000 children all over the world are trained by Suzuki’s method. And, the Suzuki Method has since been applied to other instruments including cello, viola, flute, piano and guitar. The Huntington Suzuki Music School offers Suzuki Method lessons in Violin, Viola, Cello, and Piano.
